Berlin Food & Lab Equipment Company has been fabricating in stainless from the same South San Francisco plant since 1941. Our 50,000 sq ft facility on South Linden Avenue anchors an installation territory that runs from the Napa and Sonoma wine country in the north, down the coast to Big Sur, and east to Livermore — covering San Francisco, the Peninsula, Silicon Valley, the East Bay, Marin and the Santa Cruz and Monterey coast. Beyond that core territory we install throughout California and ship finished work worldwide. We are a licensed design-build fabricator, not a dealer: every project is engineered, built, finished and installed by our own team. We hold NSF and ANSI certification, document to cGMP standards, and carry California State Contractors License #941086. Safety is planned, not assumed: every installation is preceded by a documented method of procedure and job hazard analysis, backed by our IIPP, OSHA compliance and PPE protocols. Our project managers coordinate directly with architects, general contractors and facility teams so work lands on schedule, on budget and to specification — with the least possible disruption to an occupied building.
What separates Berlin is what happens before the metal is cut. We model, engineer and detail with an understanding of how stainless forms, moves, expands, supports, ships and ultimately fits in the field. Details other shops return marked not fabricable — compound curves, unsupported spans, seamless runs beyond standard sheet sizes — are the work we are known for.
